Metaphorically, darkness represents the aspects of ourselves that we are not aware of.
Darkness dissipates when shone a light on.
The idea is that one has to be willing to explore one’s own darkness. One step at a time, animated by the torch of curiosity.
One advances into this dungeon by asking the right questions. This is a path of understanding where each new answer brings a new question and vice versa.
On this path, great wisdom can be found at each step just as truth gets progressively revealed. it is not so much about the answers or questions but about the journey. It is about the dynamic process we engage with in order to improve our perception of reality.
One can only go with oneself and one s own light there. But the more one reaches depth within oneself, the more one can perceive the deeper aspects of others and of one’s environment.
